I'm looking for a chief accountant in television distribution for my client in the Plateau-Mont-Royal. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode (2-3 days of telecommuting).
Responsibilities :
- Perform analyses by production to determine license prices
- Issue external sales invoices and follow up on receivables on a regular basis.

- Ensure periodic follow-up and management of external distribution reports
- Follow-up on internal distribution agreements and plan payments related to distribution
with distribution advances where applicable
- Provide international customers with documents required under sales contracts,
including tax residency certificates
- Participate in the sector's quarterly closing process (taking accounting provisions,
issue inter-company invoices and reconcile general ledger balances)
- Participate in the year-end audit file for the distribution segment
- Preparation of periodic reports
- Prepare quarterly distribution reports due to in-house production companies by
Sphère Média Distribution in accordance with existing distribution agreements
- Calculate royalties due based on collective agreements, employment contracts and financing
agreements, and prepare semi-annual reports to investors and rights-holders of Sphère Média
Sphère Média's in-house production catalog
- Ensure payment of royalties and address related external requests,
including audit requests
- Calculate UDA royalties and supervise their payment within the required deadlines according to the licenses granted
Profile:
- University degree in accounting/business administration or equivalent level of experience

- Experience in distribution, either with a distributor or a producer
- Exceptional rigor and organization
- Diligence and organizational skills
