I am Bianka, Team Leader in Recruitment and Business Development at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for Finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.
I am looking for a chief accountant for my client, a large packaging SME. This is a permanent face-to-face position.
Working conditions
* Salary between $80,000 and $90,000 depending on your experience
* Permanent full-time position, face-to-face, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday,
flexible between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
* 3 weeks of annual vacation, in addition to 5 days of paid personal leave per year and 4 additional days of paid leave between Christmas and New Year's Day

Role and responsibilities
Reporting to the financial director, the Chief Accountant:
* Manages all work related to the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements of the Group's four companies as well as their consolidated results;
* Analyzes the financial statements (balance sheet items, explanations of differences between actual results and the budget, monitoring of inventory levels and material costs, etc.);
* Supervises two employees (accounting technician and accounts payable clerk);
* Responsible for the payables process with the aim, in particular, of maximizing cash discounts;
* Ensures the proper functioning and optimization of the Sage 300 accounting software;
* Supports the financial director in various matters, such as the establishment of internal controls, management tools, performance indicators and cost analyses.
Knowledge and experience required
* Diploma in Accounting Technology, or equivalent;
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a manufacturing SME;
* Solid experience in accounts payable management;
* Experience in financial statement consolidation;
* Knowledge of Sage 300 accounting software, an asset.
Required skills and abilities
* Autonomous, structured person with good business sense;
* Good judgment, discretion, rigor and communication skills;
* Team spirit, involvement and passion for management accounting;
* Comfortable with computerized management systems;
* Bilingualism French - English, oral and written.
