My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for an assistant controller for my client, an IT company. This is a permanent position in Saint-Hyacinthe in hybrid mode.

Main Responsibilities:

- Plan, direct and coordinate all operational accounting functions

- Manage the accumulation and reconciliation of all financial data required to account for business results

- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements

- Coordinate the activities of external auditors

- Provide management with essential information to make informed decisions

- Manage the budget process

- Develop and monitor business performance measures (KPIs)

- Oversee regulatory obligations, which often include tax planning and compliance.

Other responsibilities:

- Form a close working relationship with the Managing Director, other senior managers and non-executives.

- Contribute fully to strategy development in all areas of the businesses, challenging assumptions and decision-making, and providing financial analysis and advice on all activities, plans, targets and operational factors

- Ensure that corporate financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth

- Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties, including customers.

Profile required :
- CPA professional designation

- Experience with an ERP system (Odoo an asset)- Bilingualism, French and English- Mastery of month-end process

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines

- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, business acumen- Proficiency in Office suite, particularly Excel at advanced level- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment- Experience in a multi-currency, multi-company environment an asset- Familiarity with the environment of a growing SME.
