My name is Melissa, I am a recruitment consultant in finance, accounting and payroll. I work in permanent and temporary positions in the Greater Montreal Region.

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations within the Quebec region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial/manufacturing company. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Financial Reporting and Analysis:
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
* Present financial reports to management and stakeholders.

* Cost Management:
* Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
* Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure cost-effectiveness.

* Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Oversee internal and external audits.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks.

* Team Leadership:
* Manage and mentor the finance team.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller.
* Experience in the industrial sector is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools.
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
