My name is Romane, a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for finance positions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll positions.
I am looking for a fund accounting analyst for my client in the investment consulting sector. This is a permanent position in Brossard in hybrid mode.
Accounting and financial reporting:
Analyze the various transactions related to investment funds and prepare all related accounting up to the preparation of financial statements.
Ensure bookkeeping of investment funds: prepare quarterly accounting entries, monitor transactions between affiliated companies, among other tasks.
Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports of private investment funds submitted to partners, prioritizing a high level of quality of financial information while meeting established deadlines.
Acquire a good command of the legal documents governing investment funds in order to ensure compliance with them.
Respond to ad-hoc requests for information from internal and external partners related to the accounting and performance of investment funds.
Prepare files and manage year-end audit work for investment funds.
Prepare various financial analyses required by the Finance Team Managers.
Treasury:
Manage the treasury of investment funds, including opening bank accounts, monitoring credit facilities, cash flow analyses, projections, and other tasks related to treasury administration.
Prepare treasury analyses on a regular basis to ensure sound management at the team's request.
Prepare treasury analyses as part of capital calls and remittances, including distributions to the general partner.
Taxation:
Participate in the preparation of investment fund financial statements, the issuance of tax slips and related documents related to partnerships.
Actively participate in preparing financial information as part of various tax mandates.
Prepare compliance documents to satisfy Canadian, US and other applicable tax authorities.
Other duties:
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies implemented by the company.
Provide the necessary administrative and accounting support required by his/her duties.
Participate in various ongoing projects aimed at improving the efficiency of the finance function.
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
1 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
Demonstrated experience in analyzing accounting data and producing reports.
Strong skills with Microsoft Suite, including Excel.
CPA accounting designation or application to the Order of CPAs.
Experience in financial services or investment funds, an asset.
Bilingual (French and English) because the majority of investors are English-speaking.
