My name is Hugo, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the Island of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a Payroll Technician for a construction company in Lachine. This is a permanent position.

- Ensure the complete payroll process for all group employees (2 organizations) using the Nethris system.

- Collect, verify and process data related to hours worked, vacation, benefits while ensuring compliance with government requirements.

- Ensure accuracy & precision of payroll data (hours worked, vacation, vacations, wages, allowances, etc.).

- Process adjustments & deductions in a timely manner and communicate with affected employees.

Maintain up-to-date employee records on payroll platform.

-Keep abreast of the various federal and provincial rules & legislations surrounding payroll and stay abreast of changes (publications, newsletters, webinars, websites, etc.);

-Answer employees' questions about their compensation and ensure compliance with legal payroll requirements;

-Respond to managers' and employees' requests concerning problems and take the necessary corrective action.

-Collaborate with manager and maintain weekly payroll calendar to plan exceptions and manage priorities.

-Complete monthly union remittance and WSIB reports.

-Any other related tasks relevant to his/her skills.

- DEC in general administration, accounting and management techniques or administrative techniques from a school recognized by the relevant ministry, or a DEC combined with a relevant undergraduate university certificate or attestation of college studies (AEC).

-A minimum of 2 years' professional experience in payroll management;

-Accreditation from the Institut National de la Paie is an asset;

-Good knowledge of Canadian payroll standards (Quebec & Ontario);

-Thoroughness, precision and rigor in the execution of tasks;

-Basic knowledge of the construction industry (CCQ & unions) is an asset;

-Fluency in spoken and written French; working knowledge of English required for occasional use with internal clients outside Quebec;

PROCEDURE: Initial interview with Hugo LANDO, Recruitment Consultant, followed by a second interview with the Human Resources Manager.
