I'm looking for a Plant Controller for my client in Dorval. This is a permanent contract.

Your responsibilities :

HSE:

- Ensure compliance with procedures, instructions, HSE guidelines and golden rules.
- Ensure that procedures and instructions are always adapted and updated.
- Ensure that employees acquire and maintain the skills required for the tasks performed by their teams.
- Ensure that the equipment under their responsibility is in good condition and operates safely. If this is not the case, he/she ensures that protective measures are taken and/or that the equipment is recorded.
- Identify and deal with HSE risk situations during the appropriate SHP.
- Manage emergency situations with the help of HSE team members and the first response team.
- Relay and lead HSE communication within teams.

Main duties:

- You will be responsible for the development, analysis and monitoring of plant financial information, including forecasts, budgets and standard costs, in line with the annual business plan.
- You will ensure accurate and timely reporting of profitability by product, project, customer and operational KPIs.
- You will coordinate the budgeting and forecasting/forecasting process based on financial analyses by plant, cost center and business indicators.
- You will analyze budget performance and provide reasons for variances as well as recommended actions.
- You will participate in capital expenditure projects: you will evaluate current expenditure, provide data in support of capital expenditure business cases and estimate costs in support of quotation activities.
- In accordance with company policies, you will monitor and implement the necessary internal controls to ensure the integrity of reports, protect company assets and identify risks.
- Review and analyze financial records, documents and systems to ensure compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards controls.
- Participate in internal and external audits: financial, operational, monthly inventory, etc.
- Prepare reports on audit findings and make recommendations to improve business practices.
- Share best practices or provide expert advice to teams and managers on financial and operational issues, process improvements and procedural changes.

- You have a university degree in finance, accounting or financial management.
- You hold a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (an asset).
- You have strong communication skills and are able to adapt to different audiences.
- You have at least five years' experience in a senior finance or controlling position.
- Professional experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
- You have an excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- You have experience with ERP applications.
- You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- You have a strong ability to work under pressure in a delivery environment.
- You have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- You are fluently bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.
