I am looking for a Project Accountant for my client, located close to a metro station and with parking. This is a permanent contract.

Your main responsibilities:

Ensure complete management of the accounting cycle, including management of accounts payable and receivable.

Prepare and submit tax returns (GST/QST) within legal deadlines.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure regular follow-up of accounts receivable and payable.

Prepare monthly financial statements and monitor project budgets.

Prepare documentation for annual closing of accounts.

Manage the follow-up of contract terminations and payment releases.

Review and validate payment requests from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, in compliance with contracts and allocated budgets.

Check documents for conformity before making payments.

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and processing deadlines.

Assist in the preparation of reports and files for payment requests to cost consultants for disbursement.

Perform various other related tasks as required by the department.

Skills required:
Autonomy and organization: Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Analytical skills: Strong financial data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication: Ability to interact clearly in French and English, particularly with international contacts.

Work experience: 1-3 years' experience in a similar role in accounting or inventory management.

Technical knowledge: Proficiency in accounting tools, financial management software and office tools (Excel, accounting software).

Flexibility and team spirit: Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, while being responsive to changing business needs.
