I am Bianka, Team Leader in Recruitment and Business Development at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for Finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.

I am looking for a senior accountant for my client, a plumbing SME. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode.

SUMMARY
As a senior accountant,, you will play a central role in the company's accounting management. Your mission will be to ensure the precision and compliance of the company's accounting operations and to contribute to the making of informed decisions. You will work under the supervision of the financial controller to ensure perfect synergy and meet the various objectives of the department.

YOUR DAILY DAY, IN SUMMARY
* Ensure the recovery of customer accounts, analyze the accounts and initiate the recovery procedure within the required time frame;
* Carry out effective management of payments to supplier accounts, in accordance with internal control procedures;
* Prepare government reports and submit tax (GST/QST) and source deductions (DAS) declarations;
* Prepare commission reports and make payments;
* Record end-of-month adjustment entries in the accounting system to maintain data integrity;
* Actively contribute to all phases of the accounting cycle, from transaction entry to account closing;
* Collaborate in the preparation of files for end-of-year audits;
* Accomplish all related tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the accounting department.

DESIRED SKILLS
* 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in accounting;
* College diploma in accounting or equivalent;
* Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software, SAP Business One (an asset);
* Bilingualism (French/English) both orally and in writing;
* Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within the team;
* Ability to establish priorities;
* Have a good analytical mind.
