Hello, I am Jinane, Recruitment and Business Development Advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.

I am currently searching, on behalf of my client, a company located in Montreal for a senior payroll technician. This is a permanent position on hybrid remote work.

Your responsibilities:


Production and processing of Canadian and American bi-weekly payroll;
Ensures the integrity of data across the company's various systems that contain human resources data;
Provides customer service for aspects related to group insurance, all benefits, and human resources policies;
Participates in managing hires, terminations, and any changes to employee status;
Participates in the management of group insurance: enrollments, terminations, modifications, and overall verification;
Responds to employee and internal partner questions and requests received daily in our inbox;
Provides necessary support to HRIS users;
Assists the human resources team in various development projects;
Payments to various agencies;
Participates in the year-end process.

Do you think this job is for you? It might be if you are or have:

Diploma in administration or accounting, or any other relevant training;
FPC or CPP certification;
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll processing;
Proficiency in a payroll software (VIP from DLGL or others);
Knowledge of an integrated human resource management system (an asset);
Proficiency in both official languages, both spoken and written;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Knowledge of Canadian laws and labor standards;
Experience in American payroll and knowledge of American laws (an asset);
Ability to conduct research and demonstrate analytical thinking;
Precision and attention to detail;
High level of customer service.
