I'm currently looking for a Network Security Administrator for my client in downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode.

As a Network Security Administrator / Cyber Analyst, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure while analyzing and responding to cyber threats. This role requires a mix of technical expertise in network security administration and cyber threat analysis, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Network security administration
- Administer and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and access controls to protect against unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities. Analyze and respond to cyberthreats
- Monitor security alerts and logs to detect and analyze potential cyberthreats and security incidents.
- Review security alerts to determine their significance and coordinate response efforts where necessary.
- Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures. Log analysis and interpretation
- Analyze network logs and security event data to identify anomalous behavior and potential security risks.
- Interpret security alerts and log entries to understand the nature and scope of security incidents.
- Develop strategies to improve log management and analysis capabilities. Day-to-day operations
- Perform routine network security tasks such as configuration management, patching and access control.
- Collaborate with IT team members and external consultants to ensure secure deployment and configuration of network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users on network security issues. Strategic planning
- Contribute to the development of the company's network security strategy and roadmap.
- Identify emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and make recommendations to improve network security defenses.
- Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in network security and cyberthreat intelligence.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in network security administration and cyber threat analysis.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- Mastery of network security technologies and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively interpret security logs and alerts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingualism, oral and written (French and English).
