We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, located in the West Island.

The IT Senior Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the IT department and business units. This role involves managing projects, understanding business needs, converting them into technical specifications, and ensuring that IT solutions align with business objectives. The IT Sr BA is responsible for evaluating business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing technological solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather comprehensive business requirements.
Document both functional and non-functional requirements.
Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and third-party vendors to design optimal solutions.
Develop detailed specifications for new systems or updates to existing systems.
Lead or participate in design sessions with development teams to ensure clarity.
Assist in creating project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Develop test plans and cases to validate system functionality.
Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and collect feedback for improvements.
Ensure all solutions meet both quality standards and business needs.
Create thorough documentation, such as user manuals, process guides, and training materials.
Conduct training for end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems.
Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions.
Manage incident response, diagnosing and resolving issues.
Communicate with stakeholders to provide progress and resolution updates.
Identify areas for process optimization and automation.
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.
Evaluate current systems and processes for potential improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, BTM, Accounting, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CBAP, CCBA) are a plus.
5-10 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the IT sector.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum). Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA) is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bilingual in French and English.


Ability to lead end-to-end IT business solutions projects, both strategic and operational.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Knowledge of project management principles and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) and related technologies, with knowledge of ERP modules and business processes relevant to functional areas (e.g., finance, customer service, supply chain).
