I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a manufacturing company specializing in automated engineering, for an Automation Project Manager - Permanent position, 37.5h/week, on-site.
Your Role
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be the internal automation expert, acting as the bridge between the mechanical and automation teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Serving as the internal automation reference, ensuring smooth collaboration between mechanical and automation design teams.
-Supervising the work of the internal automation company and electrical subcontractors.
-Managing internal continuous improvement projects and ensuring their implementation.
-Balancing project management with hands-on technical involvement.
-Performing PLC and HMI programming internally.
-Supervising client-side employees responsible for programming.
-Coordinating with mechanical project managers, who do not have automation expertise.
Profile Required
-Automation Engineer (must be a member of the OIQ).
-Minimum of 5 years' experience in automation project management.
-Bilingual (French/English) - clients in Europe, the U.S., and Australia.
The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons:
* Communication with international clients
* Collaboration with English-speaking partners
* Writing documents in English
-Proficiency in Siemens (preferred) and/or Allen Bradley automation software.
-Travel Requirements :
Approximately 12 weeks of travel per year (2-3 weeks per project, 3 projects per year).
Supervision of installations at the end of each project.

-Conditions & Benefits :
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000, based on experience.
