Your function
I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a manufacturing company located in Laval, a Mechanical Design Engineer - Permanent position 40 hours per week.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of the following tasks:
- 3D design of mechanical aspects, production and installation drawings for various products and equipment
- Participate actively in the project from A to Z (meetings, follow-up with draftsmen, deadlines)
- Be the reference for the proper validation of plans and technical realizations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and development procedures
- Carry out risk analyses and design calculations, with due regard for safety, and draw up rigorous documentation
- Monitor project progress at the factory

Your profile
-At least 3 years' experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant training
-OIQ member: CPI or Titre Ing
-Fluent in written and spoken French, functional in English
-Experience with CAD software (3D 2D), Solidworks and Solidworks PDM an asset
-Knowledge of ERP
-Knowledge of manufacturing, pneumatics and sheet metal principles
-Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
-Proficiency in Office suite
- Salary: $70k - $85k + bonus - depending on experience
-Weekday position, permanent and hybrid mode, full insurance and company RRSP.
