Your function
Our client, a Laval-based company specializing in the design of conveyors and Cap-Feeder systems, is currently looking for a QHSE Manager for a permanent 40h/week position.
As part of the management committee, you will report to the site manager as well as to the OHS USA department.
Your main responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) practices.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in terms of health, safety and the environment.
- Conduct internal and external audits, as well as incident investigations.
- Promote a culture of QHSE excellence among employees and stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to management.
- Maintain and improve ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Oversee building maintenance and manage the associated budget.
- Act as main contact with external bodies (CNESST, certification bodies, etc.).
- Lead COMEX meetings (this position is part of the company's Executive Committee).

Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate regularly with them in English, both orally and in writing.
Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.

Requirements :
- Open to applicants with at least 2 years' experience in QHSE functions.
- You are familiar with the requirements of regulation 3 of the SST.
- Diploma in health, safety or environment, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in French and English
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 standards, as well as CNESST/OSHA regulations.
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools and audit management.
