We are looking for a Purchaser for our client located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Department Manager, the Purchaser acts as a crucial facilitator between the plant and head office, covering various purchasing categories.

Responsibilities:

- Compile and send Operational Performance Indicators (OPI) to suppliers to assess their performance in terms of on-time delivery;
- Manage the process of sending purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring regular follow-up and issuing reminders when necessary;
- Implement corrective plans in the event of non-quality or delays, in collaboration with the parties concerned;
- Review Orchestra-related requests, including inventory management, order changes and cancellations, to ensure effective planning;
- Assist production and planning by informing the various departments of any potential delays during job changes;
- Critically examine express shipment requests, seeking alternative solutions and minimizing associated costs;
- Take charge of logistics management when necessary, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction;
Inform buyers of any price discrepancies observed when placing purchase orders, thus helping to maintain financial transparency;
- Continuously monitor replenishment parameters to ensure compliance with established terms and conditions;
- Identify and resolve errors related to orders, receipts and inventory, in collaboration with the appropriate departments;
- Ensure that all certificates and documents required for the receipt of products are obtained, guaranteeing compliance with current standards and regulations;

Skills required:

- 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar position;
- Proficiency in Office suite;
- Bilingualism essential;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to understand the specific requirements of different types of products
- Good knowledge of POs, payment terms and deliveries
- Understanding of supply chain, an asset;
