I'm looking for a bilingual customs compliance specialist for my client in the automotive manufacturing sector in Granby.

Your missions:
- Ensure Canadian and American customs compliance within the company.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (CSRD, Law against forced labor and child labor in supply chains).
- Monitor and maintain the various tariff code databases (SAP or other) on an ongoing basis, and determine the applicable codes when new or revised codes are added.
- Validate and maintain annual certificates of origin (USMCA/CETA) for all our parts and vehicles, as well as the appropriate customs declarations;
- Continuously follow up with the customs broker on various shipments to ensure compliance and avoid penalties from government institutions; (Customs Tariffs, Antidumping & Countervailing, Duty Draw back)
- Inform other departments and propose alternatives/solutions in line with new customs regulations and changes;
- Keep abreast of the global logistics environment in order to anticipate risks and reduce impacts;
- Support various departments in import/export.
- Support team members to ensure timely service;
- Support the company in producing export documents (invoices, certificates of origin, CERS) and resolving problems;
- Carry out customs compliance audits internally and with our external partners.

Main skills :
- Relevant training (logistics, transport and customs) or relevant experience
- 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar position (customs confirmations)
- Certified custom specialist CCS (Asset)
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English (for communication with internal and external customers)
- Excellent knowledge of standards and regulations related to the transport and import-export of goods
- In-depth knowledge of customs (CF28 29, etc., tariff codes, customs compliance) - an asset
- Good command of various IT tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of SAP or TMS software (asset)
