I am currently recruiting a Transport Technician for one of my clients, a distribution company located in Ville Saint-Laurent.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, your responsibilities will include :
📦 Organization of pick-up requests
Coordinate pick-ups for suppliers, warehouses and customer returns.
Plan and optimize rounds to ensure efficient collection.
💸 Preparation of transport price quotations
Analyze carriers' offers and prepare competitive quotes.
Compare rates and conditions to obtain the best value for money.
📝 Preparation of BOL (Bill of Lading)
Establish and verify the BOL for certain suppliers.
Ensure compliance of documents for seamless shipment tracking.
📤 Sending shipping instructions
Clearly communicate all shipping information to suppliers.
Ensure that each shipment complies with established procedures and deadlines.
🔍 Shipment tracking
Monitor the flow of goods and anticipate any problems.
Coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.
📑 Claims and credit application management C11
Submit claims to carriers in the event of incidents.
Authorize and process C11 credit requests to ensure correct billing.
This role requires excellent organization, communication and attention to detail to maintain a high level of logistical service.
- Relevant transportation experience
- Good knowledge of computerized tools
- Organized, autonomous, able to manage work environment;
- Good management of priorities and a healthy work ethic;
- Good team spirit;
- Experience in personnel management (asset);
