Our elementary programs are housed within a Kindergarten to Grade 6 environment. Our students have the rich opportunity to become part of a larger flourishing school culture. The opportunity for our early learners to participate in various school-based events and activities sets us apart. Our early learners are gifted with the ability to be in an authentic school environment where can build their sense of belonging and understanding of what it means to be in school through their participation in routines and daily school life.
We are committed to introducing foundational skills through a play-based approach to learning. The successful candidate will plan and conduct daily activities for students that contribute to literacy and language, social and physical skills, pre-math and creative and emotional development. The ability to work with minimal supervision, experience working with children with a variety of needs plus excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be necessary. The ability to foster a safe and caring learning environment is essential and the ability to establish a good working relationship with parents and community critical.
To prepare for this role, you will hold an Early Learning and Child Care Diploma or equivalent, Child Development Certification, and have previous experience working with children.
