Foothills School Division (FSD) serves the learning needs of approximately 8000 students from preschool to grade 12. We operate 22 public schools, an online digital school, an alternative campus, and three colony schools. These are located in the towns of Okotoks, High River, and Diamond Valley, and the communities of Blackie, Cayley, Heritage Heights, Red Deer Lake, Longview, Millarville and Foothills County.

The School Leader Candidate

A successful FSD Principal candidate will:

  • instructional leadership and staff development based on current research that ensures every student has access to quality teaching and optimum learning experiences

Qualifications:

To prepare for this role, you have:

  • Master’s degree, complete or near completion, in educational leadership or a related field
  • Alberta Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) certification or commitment to complete
  • A proven record of successful educational leadership experiences
