DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the senior mechanical engineer, the candidate will support production, quality and purchasing within Fordia. The candidate will work on the full product range, giving them an incredible perspective over the company. They will also be responsible for the technical portfolio optimization.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Engineering support

• Drawing analysis and review in collaboration with quality control, purchasing and internal/external manufacturers
• Engineering change management within the company
• Support the quality control department with production issues and derogations
• Support the purchasing department with modification requests from suppliers
• Qualification of products with specific suppliers
• Analysis of part compatibility including calculation and mechanical tests
• Evaluate the financial impact of design choices
• Update technical drawings, specifications and BOMs
• Other tasks required by the position
