Dr. Clark Public School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Literacy Support .
Requirements:
Bachelor of Education.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Have experience working with English Language Learners.
Have an ability to implement Individual Program Plans.
Have demonstrated the ability to create an environment characterized by inclusion, equity and differentiated instruction.
Possess superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
Have proven themselves to be a team player and a positive staff member.
Be open to new programs and initiatives.
Be a reflective practitioner.
Recognize the importance of making a strong, positive connection with all students, through interactions as well as involvement with students outside the classroom. (ie. clubs and teams)
Be willing to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
Have skill in involving parents as partners (parental involvement)
Possess an ability to create and work as part of an effective team with educational assistants, parents and multidisciplinary professionals.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of admin team and LAC:
Facilitate student intervention groups
EAL/Literacy and numeracy support
Classroom support as needed and directed
Data collection and analysis
Instructional duties as assigned
Provide classroom EAL support
Student groups
Using literacy intervention tools to support students and classrooms
Working as a team with teachers to support students with EAL needs
Data collection and analysis
