Dr. Clark Public School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Grade 6 Teacher.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Education
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Strong collaborative team player and a positive staff member
Experience teaching in elementary grades is considered an asset
Commitment to providing individualized attention to all students
Have an ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans
Have demonstrated ability in creating a classroom characterized by inclusion, equity and differentiated instruction.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth
Be prepared to work in a collaborative setting to reach the goals in the School Assurance Plan during Professional Learning Fridays and beyond
Possess superior organizational and interpersonal skills
Have Training in The Leader in Me (TLIM) OR be willing to participate in training provided
Knowledge of Regulated Classroom strategies or willing to participate in professional learning
Be open to new programs and initiatives
Be a reflective practitioner
Recognize the importance of making a strong, positive connection with all students, through classroom interactions as well as involvement with students outside the classroom. (ie. clubs and teams)
Be willing to participate/volunteer in the school community beyond the classroom
Recognize the importance of promoting the school with parents and in the community.
Have skill in involving parents as partners, (parental involvement).
Possess an ability to create an effective team with educational assistants, parents and multidisciplinary professionals.
Familiarity with Healthy Schools Policy/Apple Schools.

All candidates must hold or be able to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate, have knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at those levels/subject areas and demonstrated interpersonal and classroom management skills
