Westwood Community High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Senior High Social Studies/English Language Arts Teacher.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Education

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

Alberta Teaching Certificate, or is eligible to obtain certification in Alberta

Experience teaching in a high school setting, with knowledge of senior high humanities programs of study.

Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy, and Differentiated Instruction practices.

Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.

Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.

Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans and implement the plan for students.

A strong ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Strong technology skills are required, with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.

Flexible TEAM player.
