The Vice President of Strategic Capital Investments & Facilities is seeking an engaging and collaborative professional with leadership experience for the Director, Corporate Support & Results Office role to provide direction and guidance for all corporate requirements and business support functions in a wide range capacity.   

 

The Director will support on key areas across the portfolio such as Redevelopments, Capital Project Design and Construction, Engineering and Operations, Real Estate and Planning. Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

 

The Director, Corporate Support and Results Office, reports to the Vice President, Strategic Capital Investments and Facilities and supports the achievement of goals and objectives through the development and leadership of a variety of organizational priorities. The Director is an organizational steward with the ability to develop, implement and champion integrated governance models and processes that consider the interrelationships, dependencies, and collaborative relationships necessary to advance key priorities. The Director leads the Corporate Support and Results Office team and is responsible for interdepartmental standards and cooperation, the development and oversight of issues and results management and corporate administrative support functions and works with key partners and other stakeholders to ensure reports, presentations, proposals, and business cases are developed to ensure corporate support and results for the Strategic Capital Investments and Facilities portfolio.

 

The Director is highly focused on relationships and partnering as well as business processes, outputs, and outcomes. The Director will draw on their exceptional communication skills, the ability to effectively manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities and have a deft hand in dealing with competing interests.


Responsibilities


  1. Leads strategic initiatives by overseeing the development and execution of the Strategic Capital Investments and Facilities portfolio strategic directions, plans and priorities while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities and driving continuous improvement of corporate and financial processes, systems and people strategies to optimize efficiency, accuracy, compliance and performance.
  2. Leads the development, implementation and ongoing controls, compliance, and efficient support and results of key corporate Financial, Systems, People, Procurement, Legal and other strategies and plans for all teams across the portfolio.
  3. Acts as the liaison for the portfolio for Lower Mainland Regional facilities management programs and services and optimization models and services.
  4. Coordinates communication, engagement, culture, wellness and change management strategies and initiatives across the portfolio.
  5. Creates project plans and promotes effective project management including establishing consistent project charters, objectives, timelines and critical path, collaboration with stakeholders, engagement of appropriate resources, facilitation of project activities, progress monitoring, problem resolution, and recommendations to senior management team.
  6. Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into people and technical solutions.
  7. Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to streamline workflows and increase productivity and quality.
  8. Develops, implements, and maintains an integrated governance model that considers the interrelationships, dependencies, and collaborative relationships of key strategic, business and operational planning, monitoring and reporting activities.
  9. Develops concise, clear and informative briefings, presentations and responses to executives and other internal and external groups as required.
  10. Identifies risks and barriers to success and ensures there are plans to mitigate; identify and address conflict on the horizon; resolves any conflicts prior to the need to escalate; identifies and manages impending change.
  11. Provides leadership in the integration of information across the Corporate Support and Results Office portfolio and fosters the creation and use of high quality, meaningful information for planning, quality improvement and decision-making purposes.
  12. Establishes clear targets and measures to track progress toward strategic objectives.
  13. Leverages change management skills to enable best practices, policy improvement and systems integration. Key partnerships are with senior leaders across Fraser Health Authority and the Health Authorities.
  14. Provides direct management and leadership to direct reports by mentoring, coaching and fostering an atmosphere that promotes and encourages employees to realize their maximum potential. Oversees human resource management including recruitment, performance assessment and performance management. Initiates disciplinary action when necessary.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

 

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Leadership or other relevant field plus a minimum of ten (10) years relevant senior leadership experience in healthcare, quality improvement and/or organizational change. Recent experience (within the last 7 years) must include experience leading corporate service functions (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, Administration etc.) for a medium to large size public sector organization.
