Rotation Hours include: 0600-1400, 0630-1430, 0645-1445, 0700-1500, 0730-1530, 0800-1600, 0900-1700, 0930-1730, 1000-1800, 1030-1830, 1400-2200, 1430-2230, 1500-2300, 1530-2330, 2245-0645, 2330-0730.

Detailed Overview
Under the direction and supervision of the Coordinator, Housekeeping Services, or designate, the Housekeeping Aide carries out a variety of housekeeping duties, and may be required to operate domestic washers and/or dryers.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine cleaning and disinfecting of areas such as patient/resident rooms, and ambulatory, clinical, procedure, operating, diagnostic and emergency rooms, including all elements within these areas.
- Performs daily cleaning and disinfecting of all high contact elements and surfaces such as patient equipment, toilets, sinks, furniture, doors, and dispensers.
- Replenishes dispenser supplies such as paper towel, toilet paper, liquid hand soap, lotion, and alcohol-based hand rub.
- Performs discharge cleaning and disinfecting of in-patient and resident rooms including making beds.
- Transports and/or moves items such as equipment and furniture using appropriate equipment.
- Sets up meeting, conference and/or other rooms based on established schedule or as requested.
- Performs daily floor care and carpet cleaning and maintenance such as dust checking and mopping floors, vacuuming, spot cleaning carpet and matting with appropriate equipment.
- As required, load and unloads domestic washers and/or dryers, operates equipment according to established procedures, marks and labels laundry/linens, collects, sorts and distributes laundry/linens.
- Maintains related equipment by cleaning and replacing items such as pads, bags and filters.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment and supply needs to Coordinator and/or Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
