GAL Aviation Inc. is a Start-to-Finish manufacturer of aircraft interior cabinets and components and light aerostructures for Aviation Projects & Programs for Commercial & Business Aircraft OEMs & In-Service Clients we offer, Designing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Certification, Installation, and Support services. GAL is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 27-12) with 561 and 573 approval, AS9100 Rev C Certification, EASA 145 Certification and FAA authority. We offer maintenance, refurbishment, repairs and modifications of aircraft interior components for in-service Transport Category Aircraft.

As a cabinet maker you will be in charge of the creation of aircraft interior structures using various tools in addition to carrying out repairs, plating and the application of sheet finishes (e.g. Tedlar, Kydex, etc ...) when necessary for aircraft furniture.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft interior structures.
  • Prepare and apply veneers (harmonize the grain and color of the wood).
  • Prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Prepare and glue the different components.
  • Install and operate different types of machines to cut, shape and form parts.
  • Read plans and execute.
  • Make various repairs as needed.
  • Remove varnish or laminate that covers existing cabinets.
  • Design and manufacture models, jigs and assemblies.

Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma required.
  • Diploma/vocational training in cabinetmaking or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations for aircraft interiors (AS9100) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments.
  • Very meticulous and precise.
