GAL AeroStaff., which provides specialized staffing and recruiting services in the Business & Commercial aircraft industry, is presently seeking Aircraft Sheetmetal technician for a client based out of Ontario, Canada. Job Description:
The selected candidates will be required to perform heavy maintenance on narrow body aircraft in Ontario, Canada.
Main Duties:
- Assemble, rivet, drill and bond body, structure or components of aircraft according to specifications;
- Read work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine method of fabrication, procedures and sequence of operations;
- Cure bonded structures, using portable or stationary curing equipment;
- Communicate with other workers to fit and align heavy parts or expedite processing of repair parts;
- Clean, strip, prime and sand structural surfaces and materials prior to bonding;
- Fabricate parts using metal fabricating machines, saws, brakes, shears, and grinders;
- Assemble and fit aircraft and structural parts;
- Perform a subassembly;
- Align, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power tools;
- Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum of 40hrs per week
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English Language at a B2 level minimum.
- Must be able to work overtime, any shift, and weekends as required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background, drug, & medical screening, subject to TCCA requirements and random substance abuse screening.
- Must have requisite basic tools prior to starting to work; tool list will be provided. Tools must be shadowed and engraved.
- Must have a technical college degree in aerospace or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an MRO
