GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is an aerospace staffing company specializing in temporary and permanent staffing for general and technical positions in the aviation and aerospace industry.

GAL AeroStaff (GAL) is a member of the GAL Aerospace Group of Companies based in the Greater Montreal area in Quebec Canada. GAL provides specialized staffing and recruiting services in the Business & Commercial aircraft industry. The company has experience in 35 countries around the world and currently has over 200 professional and technical consultants on missions in 8 different countries.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Engineering Department is a Transport Canada Design Approval Organization that supports many internal and external modification and repair design requests by creating the appropriate data as necessary. The qualified individual will be responsible for interior modifications, structural support of avionics installations and structural modifications.

NOTE: this is not an aircraft mechanic role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop structural analysis
  • Develop design drawings
  • Provide on-aircraft support of KF Aerospace and 3rd party designed modifications
  • Develop substantiation and certification documents for demonstrating compliance to the appropriate regulations
  • Liaise with Transport Canada and other approval authorities for design approval
  • Manage resources to achieve assigned project goals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of an Aerospace Engineering Degree combined with 2-5 years of relevant experience OR a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to meet project deadlines
  • Able to work independently and as a team member in an office environment
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer experience necessary (Microsoft Office and CAD)
