Invites applications for Permanent Full-Time Journeyperson Mechanic Location: GSSD - Central Assignment/Contract: 8 hours a day -Permanent Full time Salary: In accordance with the current board approved Out-Of-Scope Salary Grid Contact Details: Ryan Hall - Transportation Manager ryan.hall@gssd.ca 306-786-5546 The Good Spirit School Division is currently seeking a Journeyperson Mechanic whose responsible for general repair and maintenance of the school division's fleet vehicles. Schedule : This position is Permanent Full-Time of 40 hours a week. The successful candidate will report directly to the Transportation Manager. Term : To commence on January 20, 2025, or a mutually agreed upon date. Qualifications: Valid Driver's license.Journeyperson Certification in MechanicsMinimum 3 years experience Competencies : Ability to work independently. Ability to prioritize Ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member Ability to adapt to change and be flexible Have superior interpersonal and communication skills and be able to communicate professionally Have specialized knowledge to perform maintenance and repairs. Foster a positive attitude and represent the school division in a professional and businesslike demeanor Diplomatic and ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information relating to employees, students or the operation of the school division. Responsibilities and Duties: General repair and maintenance of the Division bus fleet.Complete mechanical duties to industry standards.Assist in the completion of safety inspections.Complete regular services on buses and other division-owned vehicles. Assist in cleaning and organizing the garage. Additional duties as outlined in the Job Description Mechanic document available on our website. Salary and Benefits : As per the Out of Scope Salary Schedule ($71,206-$78,991 range per annum, dependent on qualifications) and Out of Scope Benefit Plan.
