The Good Spirit School Division Invites applications for Performing Arts Dance Academy Instructor:
Dr. Brass School
The Fine Arts Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced instructor for the 2025-2026 School Year. This program will see students in grades 5 - 8 participate in highly specialized arts education with a focus on the performing arts. The position will involve introducing students to drama, dance and music. Students will learn to be confident performers in all aspects of the arts . Afternoons will be spent on high level instruction where students will learn acting skills, explore the world of improvisation and monologues, and combine dance, drama and vocal techniques in musical theatre. Actors will have the opportunity to perform in productions throughout the year. Students in this program are varied in age and enter with varying levels of experience and expertise, so the successful applicant must be experienced in differentiated instruction within the arts.
Assignment/Salary Details:
0.45 FTE - In accordance with STF Provincial Collective Agreement.

The successful applicant will have the following knowledge, skills, abilities and educational background:
- a specialization in dance, drama, musical theatre and choreography
- a background and strong foundation in arts education and performing arts
- prior experience in program development, implementation and management
- experience with community involvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent.
- Must hold or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate.
- Experience teaching the performing arts strands (drama, dance, music).
- Specific education, certificates and/or qualifications related to instruction in the performing arts.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
