The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications for its O.S.S.T.F.-P.S.S.P.
Bargaining Unit for one Speech and Language Pathologist position within the Special Education
Department. We have temporary position available (up to 0.4 FTE).
LOCATION: Administration Building - Special Education Department
POSITION: Speech and Language Pathologist (up to 0.4 FTE)
HOURS OF WORK: Schedules are flexible and part-time hours are available within the hours of
8:00am- 4:30pm.
START DATE: As soon as possible
Nature & Scope of Position:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Speech and Language Services and the Superintendent of
Education/Special Education Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for the assessment
and intervention of communication disorders. Other duties include:
Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel and members of inter-disciplinary teams.
Professional supervision of Communicative Disorders Assistant(s).
Provision of in-service on topics related to communication development and communication
disorders.
Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor of Speech-Language Pathology Services and
the Superintendent of Special Education/Special Education Services
Willingness to undertake itinerant duties
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and registration with or working towards
registration with C.A.S.L.P.O.
Previous work experience with school-age children would be an asset.
