School Office Support I
Part Time (16.25 hours/week)

Qualifications & Duties:
Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.
Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division’s goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
High School Diploma supplemented by related post-secondary education.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a child-centered focus when working with student, parents, and staff.
Willingness and aptitude to quickly learn technology applications and operational procedures.
Ability to work appropriately and enthusiastically with Middle School (Grades 6-8) aged students.
Experience and/or training with PowerSchool information system, specifically:
data input, management and maintenance of student files
student and course registration
report compilation (PASI)
familiarity with attendance functions
Proficiency with standard office software programs including MS Word and Excel; knowledge of Google Apps for Education, file management, and Gmail, is an asset.
Experience with EASI (Employee and School Information) system is preferable.
Ability to support students, families, and the public in a variety of ways in a busy office environment including:
visitor reception and welcoming
assistance with the administration of First Aid and student medications.
act as a first point of contact for students, families, and the public.
provide calming, caring, and supportive assistance to students and visitors while organizing appropriate supports from either a member of the student services team or the school administration team.
Ability to perform a variety of routine clerical/secretarial tasks in support of a busy office environment including:
word-process a variety of materials; greet and direct visitors
receive and direct calls
maintain files; operate standard office equipment
compile and edit standard reports, newsletters
management of supplies
follow up on student attendance
under the direction of administration, support electronic communication mediums.
