As the Strategy Program Director, you will partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to drive the hospital’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with our mission and long-term goals. This high-impact role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic planning cycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee major projects that will transform the way we serve our communities.
You will have a hands-on role in guiding the execution of our strategic plan, including the development and implementation of corporate strategies, performance metrics, and annual operating plans. Your leadership will ensure that all strategic initiatives, from day-to-day operations to large-scale transformation projects like One Halton Healthcare, are executed effectively and aligned with the hospital’s vision for the future.
This position reports to the Chief Communications Officer & VP, Strategy and Partnerships and in partnership contributes to the overarching strategic objectives of Halton Healthcare in delivering exemplary patient experiences, always to the communities of Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision & Alignment
- Work collaboratively with executive leadership to refine Halton Healthcare’s strategic vision and ensure it aligns with our mission and long-term goals.
- Contribute to the development of multi-year planning cycles, anticipating healthcare trends, and ensuring we meet both current and future needs.
Integrated Planning & Execution
- Design and implement integrated planning frameworks that align executive and program teams, enabling efficient execution of strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate decision-making processes and the creation of governance structures to ensure cohesive planning.
Data-Driven Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Utilize analytics to track progress toward strategic goals, identify areas for improvement, and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct performance evaluations, collaborating with teams to enhance patient outcomes and achieve operational excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare partners and community organizations, to foster collaboration and improve healthcare delivery.
Innovation & Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
- Foster a culture of innovation and CQI, advocating for evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Lead the creation of an Enterprise-wide Project Management Office (PMO) to support scalable improvements.
Resource Management & Optimization
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure strategic priorities are adequately resourced, optimizing budgets and resource allocation to achieve organizational goals.
Governance & Decision-Making Support
- Provide executive committees with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to promote transparent, accountable governance.
