Painter

Under general supervision, the Painter 2 is responsible for the application of paint, varnish, wall coverings and other finishes. Performs such other duties as may be assigned. Functions in accordance with duties defined in the job description of a Painter. May be assigned to work at any HHS site. 

1. Current Province of Ontario Painter and Decorator (Commercial and Residential) Trade Certificate
2. Minimum five years experience as a qualified Tradesperson
3. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions
4. Demonstrated ability to use tools and equipment of the trade
5. Must be willing to provide own hand tools of the trade
6. Demonstrated ability to bend, crawl, lift heavy items, climb and work from ladders and scaffolding
7. Demonstrated ability to work in areas that are cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, amongst machinery, at elevated levels and have cramped quarters
