Description:
The Social Worker will function as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing, but not limited to, support services to students, families, and Board personnel through consultation/assessment; crisis intervention; counselling; attendance investigation; community liaison/networking; prevention programming; professional development; child/family advocacy.
Qualifications:
Minimum B.S.W, M.S.W preferred
Valid Ontario driver's license
Excellent interpersonal, oral, written and computer skills
Proven assessment and intervention skills
Experience in providing school based social work services from an evidence informed practice perspective
Ability to work in a team setting
Maturity in dealing with confidential information
Membership in good standing with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
Previous work in an education setting is beneficial

Category 10 (Social Worker) C.U.P.E. Local 3396 (Range $79,827 to $100,981)
