Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students each day at 39 in-person schools (32 elementary, two K-12; four 7-12, one secondary). HPEDSB is encouraging individuals with proficiency in French language to apply to this position, even if they are not in possession of an OCT certificate. For those applicants who are not certified with the Ontario College of Teachers, the Board will require the following:
Resume and Cover Letter outlining experiences.
An endorsement letter from your community confirming your proficiency in the French language.
Applicants who are not certified with the Ontario College of Teachers will also be required to confirm their eligibility to teacher on a Letter of Permission as a condition of employment. This eligibly is outlined in Ontario Regulation 142/08 Letters of Permission made under the Education Act. This eligibility includes:
Being 18 years of age or older,
Having an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Providing a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal background check.
