Job Description: Accountable to the Director, Medicine/Oncology/Palliative Care, the Administrative Assistant coordinates the day to day office functions of the Managers of Medical Intake Unit, 6100, Float Pool. Organizes and prioritizes workloads and maintenance of an accurate filing system. In addition, the Administrative Assistant produces letters, memos, policies/procedures, creates forms, liaises with all employees of the four units, coordinates meetings, arranges catering orders and performs photocopying. These assignments are completed with a high degree of accuracy in an efficient and effective manner. The position ensures that any inquiries, complaints and concerns are directed to the appropriate department. This position also ensures that the office has the necessary tools to complete its function (i.e. paper and office supplies).

Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a senior administrative assistant-type role
- Clerical experience in a healthcare org with increased levels of responsibility
Education:
- Certificate/Diploma from a recognized Business Administration training program
Other Education & Training:
- Medical terminology is an asset
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
