Job Description: The Policy Associate is responsible for performing key functions within the Governance and Policy portfolio, including
• Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies pertaining to the Policy Office, which includes intake and triage of new inquires and management of provincial policy related questions and concerns;
• Establishes and manages processes to support the efficient and effective operations of the Policy Office in accordance with the SHA Policy Framework;
• Assists with the development and effective implementation of corporate and clinical policy audit accountabilities;
• Collaborates and coordinates work processes with former regional health authority local policy contacts across the province;
• Maintains the provincial policy data base;
• Assists with and monitors quality assurance and continuous improvement in the policy development process; and
• Provides executive and project support to the Director, Corporate and Clinical Policy.

Experience
- 1 year experience as research/policy analyst or senior administrative assistant
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Public Policy
- Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Administration is acceptable
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
