Job Description:
Operating in a complex and dynamic healthcare environment, the Associate will have specific accountabilities which are aligned to that of their immediate supervisor to support the achievement of the portfolios functions, responsibilities and accountabilities.
Real Estate contracts in the form of licenses, leases and space agreements are time sensitive in nature. Proper notices must be given or received to ensure SHA is compliant with our numerous agreements. Prior to key renewal dates, internal SHA discussions need to be initiated 3-12 months in advance to assist the organization in making future decisions.
Once an agreement has been executed, the Associate will ensure that the contract details are logged, that the asset is properly insured with SHA Risk Management, financial details are provided to the numerous finance departments throughout the province and that copies are provided to all required stakeholders, including building maintenance, SHA contract management, landlords, tenants, etc.
The Associate will also be expected to work with Tenants and Landlords to negotiate and finalize lease and license details as well as other space and partnership contracts as required by SHA to deliver services.
Experience
- 1+ year experience with contracts, database, Real Estate/Property Management
Education
- Accounting diploma
- Business Administration diploma (DBA)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
