Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting and finance team
• Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Recognition
• Monitor cash flow needs and transactions
• Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting variances
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze financial performance
• Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues
• Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
• Contribute to the development and execution of Eden Care Communities strategic plans
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3-5 years of combined accounting and finance experience
• Professional Designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) is an asset, preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with financial statements, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and administration
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
