Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care NW-N, this position offers a variety of experiences throughout SHA (Former Keewatin Yatthe RHA) including providing nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) throughout various SHA facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. The dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy through primarily individual outpatient counselling with a focus on chronic disease prevention and management. This position also provides services in acute care, long term care, and acts as a consultant in food services. The successful candidate will have the ability to function independently and as a member of an interprofessional team in a culturally sensitive manner.

- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics

- Certified Diabetes Educator, is an asset

- Demonstrated understanding of the prevention and management of chronic diseases

- Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
- Ile-a-la-Crosse is located approximately 220 km north of Meadow Lake
- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (SDA)
