Job Description: The Director, Media Relations & Issues Management is a key leader in Saskatchewan health care, partnering with system leaders to achieve our province's healthcare goals. Reporting to the Executive Director Media Relations & Digital Media, the Director is responsible for contributing to the development and achievement of strategy by articulating gaps and needs. The Director supports strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction. The Director oversees SHA's media relations and issues management program, including communications strategy development and implementation for emerging issues and centralized media inquiry intake and response. The Director demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture. The Director works with journalists and digital influencers to increase understanding of SHA initiatives and is responsible for news conference management.

Experience:
- Leader who has developed planning and programs in multi-stakeholder environment
- 7 years in a formal and informal leadership position with progressive advancement
- Experience in Journalism or Communications
Education:
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Licenses:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license

- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
