Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. They assist with the operations of the facilities they serve. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures.

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
