Job Description: MSU provides an intermediate level of care requiring basic cardiac monitoring skills with integrated medical surgical nursing knowledge to support medical patients with higher acuity care needs.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education

• Adult ECG interpretation from an accredited course is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
• Nursing diploma is acceptable
• Recent critical care experience desired.  Adult ECG interpretation from an accredited course - including but not limited to BCCNP, CV component of BCCNP, early exit option of CCNP, Level 3 of APEX Innovation Impulse 2.0 are required
