Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Specialty Coordinator is responsible for the efficient functioning of surgical specialties and for the provision of quality care to the client in the Perioperative environment.

Experience

• Two (2) years recent OR experience or equivalent education and experience.  Demonstrable interpersonal communication, organizational, teaching and leadership skills.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

Other Education and Training

• Post Graduate course in Operation Room Nursing Techniques
• Nursing diploma is acceptable
• Certification in Perioperative Nursing an asset
