Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, 6th Floor Medicine is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow between the St. Paul’s Hospital Medicine nursing units. This is achieved by the Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow between 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 7th Floor Medicine and the Emergency Department. As part of the Saskatoon Capacity Action Plan, this position will advance project work, increase patient flow / discharges, and focus on data / metrics. This resource will help meet the needs of creating robust patient flow 7 days per week by enhancing current Clinical Coordinator coverage while supporting a culture of change to Real Time Demand and Capacity practice. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, identifying supply and equipment needs and assisting with staff scheduling.

Experience
- 5 years acute care nursing experience
- 3 years experience in the specific clinical area required
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- CPR/AED Provider Certification
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
