Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the PhD Psychologist Senior is responsible for the program maintenance and development, coordination and leadership of the pre-doctoral residency and the post-doctoral fellowship educational program. This involves but is not limited to maintaining the current standards for pre and post-doctoral psychology training, regular review and evaluation of the program and providing recommendations for further development of the program. The PhD Psychologist Senior is also responsible for providing supervision / coaching to the residents and fellows, setting up regular seminar training for the residents and fellows, coordinating and collaborating with public and private organizations to set up / maintain educational rotational opportunities for the residents and fellows. The incumbent is also responsible for providing orientation and training for new and existing psychologists providing supervision to the residents and fellows; completing site assessments to ensure rotational opportunities meet the standards and needs for the resident and fellows educational requirements. The PhD Psychologist Senior ensures all residents and fellows meet requirements related to their employment with the SHA. Provides client care by providing psychological assessments and therapy to clients. The position requires sound judgment and the incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision.
