Secondary Humanities Teacher Holy Family Cyber High 2024-25

Holy Family CyberHigh Outreach School requires a Temporary Full-Time 1.0 FTE Secondary Humanities Teacher starting August 28, 2024- June 27, 2025.

Course assignment includes Secondary Senior High Grades 10-12. The teacher would teach in a high-quality virtual and flexible learning environment for students throughout the province. Will include a wide variety of courses in the area of senior high English and Social Studies at multiple levels and potentially other courses depending on course enrollment and teacher's skill set. Teachers will be required to manage multiple course loads providing asynchronous instruction, assessments, feedback and reporting via alternative formats and electronic means.

The successful candidate ideally will have training, knowledge and experience in secondary education and requires a high degree of technical proficiency in the use of educational technology providing education from a distance, an understanding of assessment for learning, inclusive education, indigenous students and be eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta. Experience with PowerSchool would be an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to support students who have individualized program plans, enrichment, modifications and/or accommodations to their learning. The successful candidate must be a team player, willing to collaborate, communicate and work together with administration and colleagues. Preference will be given to candidates of the Catholic faith.

Ideally candidates should be living and working in one of the following communities: High Prairie, Manning, Valleyview, Fairview, Peace River, McLennan or Grimshaw. Consideration may be given to an individual in other communities if no suitable candidate is found.

Position will remain open until July 10th, 2024 or until a suitable candidate is found.
