Hours of the assignment Monday Thursday 8:15a.m. 11:45 a.m. & 3 Fridays

Central Elementary School is an Early Learning to grade five elementary school that supports a diverse community of learners, in the heart of Taber, Alberta. We have a population of approximately 225 students and a staff of 24.

Taber Central School has two early learning programs: a Monday/Wednesday morning program and a Tuesday/Thursday morning program where children aged 2.8 through 4.11 can attend Early Learning.

We are seeking an Assistant to support students in our Early Learning program. Experience working with young children and the following education and/or training specific to this age group will be considered an asset: Early Childhood Education levels 1-3 certification, training/experience working with speech and language delays and English as additional language learners, experience/training working children with complex needs and experience/training regarding play-based learning. An understanding of the importance of inclusion and support for diverse learners would be seen as a strength.
